I wanted to revamp my site and the demo of Fargo looked very promising.
As long as you stay in the exact bounds it gives you it might be ok, but once you desire a little more you are stuck.
Even being someone earning his money with web development I failed at customizing the code to suit my needs.
All in all, it can be a great theme for someone who does not have a clear picture of their needs and is willing to go with what is on offer. For me, it was a waste of money, and sadly too much time had passed since I purchased the theme and started working on it, so the refund period had run out.

Hi, Alex. I appreciate you took the time and share this feedback, yet I am sorry to hear about your experience. We always try to provide simple solutions to complicated problems. This is why we never overwhelm our themes with options and functions we consider not mandatory for a great looking portfolio site. If you want more, you can get more, but maybe some extra work is required. However, I hope you’ll find a better solution for your needs, there are plenty of options for every one of us. 🙂
I am sorry you’re not using our Fargo theme anymore, but since you already own a license, maybe you’ll consider it again in the future, for another project. Who knows what the future holds? 👀

Really like the product itself, Visually it looks cool.
Not super easy to customize since it works only with certain plug in, would be great to implement new stuff. (elementor, language pack, etc..)
Btw, really dissatisfied with the customer support, almost a year that I’m waiting for them fixing a bug and compatibility issue between mobile devices (actually doesn’t show video on new version of IOS and is not possible to show video in full screen in Android, mobile rotation is completely wrong so if you want to show something different than just pictures this theme is not right for you.
Hello, Colangelo, and thank you for taking the time to write this detailed feedback.❤️ I’m happy to hear that, for the most part, Fargo is an excellent choice for you. At the same time, I’m sorry to hear about some of the not so great experiences you’ve had.
Regarding using Elementor, although we stayed away from page builders in an attempt to make the editing experience better for non-techies, I can assure you that you can use it (and any other page builder of choice) with no problems. About the language packs, although, indeed, they don’t come built-in, the theme is compatible with many translation plugins like WPML and alike so you can achieve the same results with little effort.
When talking about some of the limitations you are experiencing on iOS, keep in mind that they might come from your device’s settings. If you go to Accessibility → Motion, you’ll see a toggle that can prevent videos from auto-playing. See this screenshot. Either way, we have created a task with these problems and will make all the efforts to release an update asap. Thank you for understanding!

Phenomenal support. Reached out with a presale question and got answered in less than two hours. I immediately bought the theme but ran into an installation issue. Same support person emailed me back immediately, offering to manually resolve the issue himself. Kind and real people!
As for their themes: I have literally checked out every single theme in my niche on Envato Market and none came as close to perfection as Pixelgrade’s work. I am a programmer and web designer myself, so my expectations are through the roof. A theme should be intuitive, easy, elegant, optimized and extensible: all boxes which Pixelgrade’s theme managed to tick off.
I am not a review person but the best deserves the best. I’ll be forwarding more of my clients to Pixelgrade!

Pixelgrade’s theme is by far one of the best around for building a minimal look photo site. Modern, well designed, not the cheapest one, but it’s worth the bucks, trust me. What I like the most are the support’s flexibility and response time.
