I’ve spent a lot of time using the free version of Rosa 2 Lite theme building small websites for small restaurant clients. After seeing how easy it was to build with a Pixelgrade theme, I choose the Heap theme as an upgrade for a skiing blog I write.
The good news is that the transition to the new theme was quick and easy. It only took a couple of hours of downtime to get the refreshed site to a state where it looked good enough for public viewing. I’ve had a lot of compliments on the new look.
The key downside to the Heap theme is that it has not been upgraded to be compatible with Gutenberg blocks. I’ve spent a lot of time over the last couple of years building almost exclusively Gutenberg based sites, so it’s a bit painful to be forced to go back to the Classic mode. I hope Pixelgrade choses to update the theme.
For the most part support has been good. Some features are weird, such as pictures are always imported by default at medium size-left justified, and support was unable to offer a fix for that. Weird.
What a wonderful WordPress theme! Mobile-friendly, beautiful design and easily modifiable. The support is incredible as always. I deeply love the mobile part. The navigation on smartphone is absolutely perfect. You can add some small features to offer an smooth and enjoyable experience. Thanks for all.

Great theme: clean, simple, many features, well-coded, responsive design is A+. Customer service—when I had a problem—was A+++. I love the design and the customization possibilities. Most themes I have to hack from the ground up to get things done where here things are easy to be changed, from fonts and colours to width of the site and look over tablet or mobile (now that is impressive – device design!) – this means that any updates I can easily apply on top and this saves a lot of my time!!
I am also impressed with the many post types and post design possibilities (video and audio straight from the main page, that rocks!)
I also love the extensive help, both on this site and also in Plugin help, and along with the exhaustive support and very quick reply time makes working with this fabulous team a thrilling experience!

I’ve been very happy with my purchase of Heap for implementation on my personal portfolio site. I considered sticking with another theme I had already purchased, but that one required a lot more work to build out, and it also needed a lot of customization to achieve the clean, super-modern style that I wanted. I’m really glad I went with Heap instead because it’s very fast to implement right out of the box, it was precisely the style I was looking for, so I’ve done next to no CSS customization, and the functionality and documentation have been great. I had one minor issue that I submitted a support ticket for, and the response and support I received were prompt and thorough. I highly recommend this theme to others.
I’ve had several questions about the theme and even a special request and the Pixel team has been super responsive. I’m new to building a website and feel like Heap is totally worth the money, plus it’s beautiful. I look forward to seeing what else they create!
I’m a big fan of Alin and the work of Pixelgrade. We’re using the HEAP theme and love it. I had a few issues because of my inability to drive the beast (!) but Alin walked me through it and got me up and running. Big thumbs up to the team and kudos to Alin.
