How to add an Announcement Bar?

Do you want to announce a great sale, or a promotion, or anything else that’s important for you and engaging for your readers? You can use the Announcement Bar to show a custom message about that. It’s displayed at the top of your website, above the header and it’s easily customizable.

How it works?

If you go to your WordPress Dashboard at Appearance → Customize → General and scroll down, you can see the available options. Here they are:

  • Announcement Bar Text — it’s a field where can be added the announcement text; it supports HTML too if you want to highlight some words, for instance.
  • Announcement Bar Link  here you can add a link that will be applied to the entire announcement bar to make it all clickable.
  • Background and Text Color — using a pick-color you can apply your branding style to the bar to create even more consistency.

This article applies to Vasco, as they share the same underlying structure.
