Auto-style Post Titles

Post titles for blog articles, projects, and products can be styled automatically to add an extra layer of typography without changing the title text itself. The styling applies both in archive listings and on single pages, so the same title keeps the same emphasis wherever it appears.

To enable or disable this feature, go to AppearanceCustomizeStyle ManagerTweak Board and toggle Auto-style post titles.

The Auto-style post titles toggle inside the Tweak Board section of Style Manager

Styling rules applied to titles

The Auto-style post titles feature formats parts of each title based on its punctuation and letter case. The rules below run automatically whenever the feature is on.

  • Uppercase words and words followed by an exclamation mark are made bold.
  • Text inside quotes or parentheses is made italic.
  • Text between a colon and a question mark or exclamation mark is made italic.
  • Text before a colon is made bold.
  • In a title that contains only a question mark, everything before the question mark is made bold and everything after it is made italic.
