Hero Area and Front Page Categories Missing

If the Hero area and Front Page Highlighted Categories sections have disappeared from your Listable Homepage editor, this is almost always caused by the PixTypes plugin — it’s the plugin responsible for registering those sections.

How to fix it

1. Go to Plugins → Installed Plugins and check whether PixTypes is installed and active. If it is inactive, activate it. If it is missing entirely, install it from the WordPress plugin directory and activate it.
2. If PixTypes is already active but the sections are still missing, deactivate and delete the current PixTypes version, then install version 1.4.16 instead — the newer PixTypes 2.0 release has a known compatibility issue with Listable. You can download 1.4.16 from the PixTypes GitHub releases page.
3. After activating PixTypes 1.4.16, go to Pages → edit your Homepage and confirm that the Hero area and Front Page Highlighted Categories sections have returned.

Why does this happen?

Listable relies on the PixTypes plugin to register custom sections on the Homepage, including the Hero area and the Front Page Highlighted Categories. If PixTypes is missing, deactivated, or running an incompatible version (such as 2.0), those sections will not appear in the page editor.
