Managing the Footer Area Widgets
Osteria comes with a customizable footer widget area that you can easily use to display content across all pages of your website. That’s why we highly recommend using this particular space to add general information that people want to access with ease. Contact details, social icons, subscription to the newsletter, open hours are just a few ideas that you can experiment with.
Adding Widgets to the Footer
Navigate to Appearance → Customize → Widgets → Footer and click on Add a Widget. Click the widget you desire from the list and it will automatically be added to the list of widgets.
Centering the Widget Content
You can set the content of the widgets to be center-aligned by just adding a helper CSS class called centered.
To achieve this type of consistency you need to install the WordPress CSS Classes plugin. All you have to do is to go to Appearance → Customize → Widgets → Footer Area; then, for each widget, you have a new field called CSS Class where you need to add the centered class.
There are two other classes that you can take into account if you want to change the width of the widget’s container: one-half and two-thirds. Use the same plugin and opt for these classes only if you have less content.
FAQs
Can I use the Footer Area for anything else?
Yes, you can. For instance, you can insert a Google map to let people know about the location of your restaurant. Also, you can just write down a short message or a statement about your restaurant or foodie business. Whatever fits best your goals.
