Theme customizer
Timber is a straightforward photography theme; that is why we use our Customify plugin to make the style controls easy to use. This means that all the colors, fonts, and layout settings can are in the default WordPress Customizer.
To access all of these customization options, you must first make sure you have installed and activated the Customify plugin. To verify, go to your WordPress dashboard and click on the Pixelgrade tab; scroll to the Manage plugins section and check if Customify is installed. If not, click on the Install button next to it.
The next step is to access the Customizer. To do that, go to your WordPress dashboard (the admin panel) and navigate to Appearance → Customize.
From the customizer panel, you can change several different aspects of your site’s styling.
Style
By going to the Style tab, you get access to the following settings:
Colors
- Headings Color
- Body Color
- Captions Color
- Links Color
- Border Color
Fonts
- Headings
- Body text
- Captions text
- Navigation text
Sizes and spacings
- Logo height
- Filmstrip images spacing
Theme options
Additional customization options can be found by going to Appearance → Customize → Theme options. Here’s what you’ll find:
General
- Additional Copyright Text
- Custom JavaScript (header)
- Custom Javascript (footer)
Share settings
- Show share links (checkbox)
You can add the share services you want to use, single comma-delimited (no spaces). You can read more about using the sharing settings from Timber by going through the articles featured here.
Site identity
Here you will find all the settings related to your site’s identity and brand, like:
- Site title
- Tagline
- Logo
- Site icon
