Is Pile free?
Yes. Pile is a starter design included with the free Pixelgrade LT stack. Pixelgrade Plus is an optional paid upgrade for deeper controls, updates, and hands-on help.
What do I need to get started?
A self-hosted WordPress site and the free Pixelgrade LT stack. Choose this design during setup, then add your own content and identity.
Can I build the demo with the free stack?
You can start from Pile and its essential layouts for free. Some advanced visual controls, premium assets, WooCommerce styling, and assisted support shown across Pixelgrade sites require Plus.
What does Pixelgrade Plus add?
Plus adds the full design system, advanced block controls, premium fonts and assets, WooCommerce styling, advanced filtering, three years of updates, and three Pixelgrade Credits for assisted support.
I already bought this theme. What changes for me?
Nothing about your ownership is removed. Existing purchases, downloads, subscriptions, and license access remain valid under their original terms; your account will identify them as legacy licenses.
Can I use it for client work?
Yes. The free stack is GPL-licensed. Pixelgrade Plus is licensed per active site; Plus Studio covers up to five active sites for freelancers and repeat builders.
What is the Plus refund policy?
Pixelgrade Plus includes a 30-day money-back guarantee. Starting with Pixelgrade LT is free and does not require a purchase.

The design caught my eye in the first place by its originality and diversity of creative options to display my work. The template is easy to use with basic WordPress knowledge. There were two issues/bugs in the template when I bought it and the technical support gave me a temporary alternative to one of them, and they got fixed in the next theme update after a few weeks. I also needed some support from them to customize a couple things and they provided me with some code to do it. Great support overall. Thanks guys, good work with this template, highly recommended!

1. The theme’s design was the thing that made me choose Pile
2. Until now I have faced three problems with the theme: the mobile menu was not okay, the last 3 products I added were not showcased the same as the others, and the WPForms contact form is not 100% compatible – this part took a lot of time to figure out and email exchanges with customer support with research from my part.
3. There were a few email exchanges with Alin, some things I had to repeat 3-4 times, like the portfolio problem because he would forget about it. I didn’t get to the shop part yet because I wanted a functional presentation website first.

The product is beautifully designed, but in the one year ive used this site, my layout has been messed up 2 times after software updates, and i have to spend a long time fixing it, hence not exactly a ideal product if stability is what you are looking for.

I was interested in Pile, because of the elegant way of displaying visual content the themes navigation works very much like I like to browse through a site. It’s not the cheapest theme out there but certainly one of the best designed. I love that you can customize a lot without knowing any real coding.
This theme is very well designed, fast and easy to use, it has limited animation options on a object level, but that is actually the power of the theme, it allows the user to concentrate on the content and not worrying about the framework in which the content is displayed.
The way the people at pixelgrade communicate with there clients is fast, very human, fun and playful
but also effective because you willl get the answers you need. I am very satisfied with the theme and I will probably use it for years to come.
