Why I can’t finish the Demo Data import?

If you are on this page, it already means that you’ve encoun­tered some issues with the Demo Data Import.

The most com­mon prob­lem is the time­out issue which is caused by a low-val­ue set to the upload_max_file_size and post_max_size direc­tives.

Here’s what you’ll have to do in case that you have access to the php.ini file:

Find this line in the php.ini file “upload_max_filesize = 2M” (or oth­er val­ue) and replace it with a high­er val­ue (e.g. “upload_max_filesize = 64M”). You may also want to increase your max post size. Look for this line in your php.ini file “post_max_size” and increase it as well.

Trou­bleshoot­ing: There is even a plu­g­in that you can use in order to fix this.

In case that you don’t have access to the php.ini file (which in most of the cas­es, it hap­pens), you may want to ask your host­ing in order to get this job done.
