Blank Page After Using the Back Button
If a page looks fine on first load but turns blank when you use the browser’s back button or swipe-back gesture, you’re running into a known Anima issue from older builds rather than a missing page.
This was reported most often on Safari and iPhone or iPad swipe-back navigation, and it was fixed in Anima 2.0.13 and newer.
Recognizing the issue
A few signals confirm you’re looking at the back-button blank page bug rather than a broken layout or missing content.
- The page goes blank only when navigating back.
- Refreshing the page immediately fixes it.
- The content is still technically there, but invisible.
- The problem is easier to reproduce with Safari, swipe-back, or trackpad back navigation.
Fixing the blank page
Update the theme so the bundled Anima library is at least version 2.0.13, then retest in the browser where you reproduced the issue.
- Update your LT theme so it includes Anima 2.0.13 or newer.
- Clear any caching layer after the update.
- Test again in the same browser where you first saw the blank page.
Updating is the right fix
This was a theme-level issue affecting back and swipe-back restoration on older Anima builds, especially in Safari. It was resolved in Anima 2.0.13, so updating is the correct path rather than applying a CSS workaround.
Running the update
Follow the standard update guide, then retest the back button behavior before changing anything else.
See Updating the theme for the full steps.
