We always believed that being true‐to‐yourself is the best strategy to get results. Nothing beats the great feeling of working with people who share similar values. Sarah is one of our beloved customers who’s on the same wavelength.
In this interview you’ll find out that you don’t need a luxury lifestyle to blog with pleasure, and that authentic passion goes beyond any blocker. It’s not easy to grab attention and maintain the momentum, but when you work hard and partner with the right folks things get traction.
Q: How would you define your eclectic world?
Sarah: I would say that I’m passionate about more than just one thing and therefore blog about different aspects of life. I don’t want to limit myself to one main topic because that is not who I am. I’m really into fashion and street style, I love to experiment with cooking and I want to motivate and inspire people to be more adventurous, bold and daring in life to enjoy every day to the fullest.
I think that smaller blogs and Instagram profiles become more and more important because they really engage with their audience and feel much more down to earth.
Q: From fashion to wanderlust, from food to interiors: what makes you‐you?
Sarah: I always try to stand out from the crowd of bloggers and influencers by staying natural and down‐to‐earth. I don’t live a glamorous life with Gucci shoes, perfect interior and jet set mood, in fact, my apartment is way too small for me and my boyfriend, but this is what I’m talking about.
Each and every one of us is perfectly unique. Staying true to myself and my content is very important to me, especially nowadays when there are so many bloggers out there, that write solely with the intention of capitalizing on their audience with little focus on the content.
Q: Your website seems to be a collection of moods and attitudes. It’s a choice or it just happened this way?
Sarah: Exactly, the blog is a collection of my personal thoughts, moods and things I get inspired by every day. I guess it just happened that way. I don’t really have a detailed plan on what to post when and how often, it’s more about how I feel on a certain day and what would fit my tempo.
Q: The blogging playground is quite crowded. How do you leap?
Sarah: I mean there are so many blogs out there, especially when it comes to the topics fashion and travel. I guess you just have to find a way to express yourself, your own personality because this is what makes you special and sets you apart from the others.
I spent literally weeks on finding a proper and cool design for my blog.
Personally, I think that smaller blogs and Instagram profiles become more and more important because they really engage with their audience and feel much more down to earth.
Oh, and don’t forget about the fun and your passion when it comes to blogging. This is why most people start a blog in the first place, they enjoy writing, taking pictures and creating storylines. You should do it for yourself more than for other companies and brands.
Q: Why you choose Patch to be your digital comrade?
Sarah: I spent literally weeks on finding a proper and cool design for my blog. The moment I saw Patch, I knew this is what I wanted! First of all, it really stands out from the usual blog themes and second of all, I’m in love with the clean, minimalistic yet elegant design.
The theme editor is super easy to use and I gotta say, I’m pleasantly satisfied with the support team! They’ve helped me numerous times with setting up my website and I’ve always felt to be in good hands.
Q: What do you think makes this theme a hit?
Sarah: Definitely the outstanding design and user‐friendly platform it comes with. I’m crazy about the newspaper — inspired design and the adaptable layout! I’ve received a bunch of compliments on my blog theme, thanks Patch! Another great plus is that it is fully responsive and looks awesome on all devices!
Q: How would you describe your experience with our crew?
Sarah: So far I’m really satisfied with the assistance and support I received from the Pixelgrade fam. I’ve had some minor issues with my website and customizations in the past and you guys were always happy to help and tried your best to get it fixed as soon as possible.
